Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur secondary school students and apprentices
take part in Babel….

The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region - Babel Med Music’s main partner - together with Aix-Marseille Regional Education Authority and the Latinissimo association has organised on 24th and 25th March 2011 from 9:30 to 11:45 two introductory sessions to the performing art sector aimed at secondary school students and apprentices.
This event will help them identify the different steps involved in musical creation and production, they will also attend a private concert and a debate with artists.

Programme of the two mornings …

 

• Welcome at the Provence - Alpes - Côte d’Azur Region stand,
• Latinissimo’s introduction to Babel Med Music
• The music professions by ARCADE,
Preventive action initiated by Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region Cultural Department to inform young people of the health and safety risks associated with playing and listening to amplified music with the campaign ‘Trop Puissant.’
• A concert-debate to discuss the Mediterranean and Provence region musical styles, led by Trio Fernandez, the dancer Sarah Moha and Edmond Mondésir, a pioneer of modern bélé, as part of the 2011 Year of Outremer.
145 students and apprentices from seven schools in Marseille will take part in these two morning sessions.
