Listen, meet, negotiate, dialogue, exchange…
Just before the arrival of Spring, Babel Med Music opens the doors of its international market and its programme of concerts dedicated to world music and jazz.
The essential meeting-place for an entire industry
For three days in the monumental J1 hangar, with the sea as its horizon, the Forum welcomes nearly 2,000 international professionals from Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa, Asia and the Americas, in an outstanding space of 3,000 m2 that contains 150 stands and hosts 850 organisations from the music industry and the arts/culture sector. Festival and concert programmers, tour managers, producers, media, artists, broadcasters, concert organizers, NGOs, researchers, etc. The sphere of world music and jazz meets in a human-scale forum, for an event dedicated to exchange and trade as well as to experimentation and reflection on the major questions that involve the music industry.
A vibrant panorama of world music and jazz
For three nights, in the legendary Dock des Suds, pride of place is given to artists from all over the world: 15,000 spectators are expected to vibrate to the sound of 31 concerts. All aboard for a musical journey to 26 musical destinations in the 5 continents: South Africa, Algeria, Angola, Belgium, Burkina Faso, Canada, Cape Verde, Colombia, South Korea, Cuba, Spain, Estonia, France, Corsica, Occitania, Reunion Island, Guadeloupe, Greece, Haiti, Israel, Italy, Morocco, New Caledonia, Palestine, Sudan, USA, etc. From Marseille, Babel Med Music sends good vibrations beyond borders.
